I drove home to Ohio from Chicago yesterday, and it was so beautiful and sunny that I barely needed a coat! That’s when I decided I would write my end-of-winter post–what better time than the absolutely lovely day that kicks off my spring break?
Aaaaand it started snowing today in Ohio.
So much for springtime! I guess I’m not ready to put away my giant red puffer coat just yet. In the meantime, it’s been a busy but wonderful winter—perhaps my last in Chicago, ever! I can’t say I’m going to miss the thick sheets of ice coating the streets, the road salt that relentlessly ruins all shoes, or the wind so bitterly cold it makes your bones cry.
I probably won’t be posting much this week, since my main scheduled activities involve…
1. watching Korean dramas with my little sister
2. writing my B.A. thesis
3. blowing my nose and coughing from this interminable cold
None of which are activities that really require a lot of sartorial effort. In the later half of the week I’ll be camping in Northern Illinois———fingers crossed that it’s not still snowing! That might result in a couple of snaps featuring my fashion strategy for camping: reading-in-the-tent-while-wearing-as-many-layers-as-possible. So I guess we’ll see. : )
